Just wanted to give you a little overview of our product here, SimServeRx. Thanks for having us here at the IMSH 2026 in San Antonio. Like I said, I’m the CEO of 3M Technologies, and this is our product, the SimServeRx Smart Cart, that I have here on stage with me. We’ve actually had our product out in the real world as ServeRx for the last twenty years, and we’re in hospitals all across the United States.

We’ve just adapted since 2017, our product line for simulation and had some pretty good success. So today I am gonna give you just a brief introduction of what our product does and how it might work for you guys. So we do have medication dispensing cabinets and these bedside smart carts.

And they are very much just inventory control and patient profiling systems. We have systems that are deployed at large universities with multiple cabinets, multiple carts, all the way down to just community colleges just with one smart cart. We have a US-based maintenance and support team included with your purchase of one of our products your first year.

You have unlimited access to our twenty-four/seven customer support as well as warranties that reach out across the country. We do offer onsite implementations for our products as well and that includes ongoing training for your faculty. So whenever there is a turnover in any of your staffing or anything like that, we offer additional training that can be done remotely.

We also have a pretty extensive video library of how-to videos as well as our user guides and quick start guides. Yeah, and like I said we are in hospitals all across the world. All across… actually it is across the world. We’re in South America, and we’re also in Europe including the US.

We have about three hundred customers in schools here in the United States. Our automated dispensing cabinets and our bedside e-mars are a proven real-world solution and they are used across the world. We do tailor our systems for each one of our installations which is why we send people out for our implementations.

All of our systems allow you to not only monitor what your students are doing, but also administer your system from either the system itself or from any computer on your s- on your local network. All this, and you don’t even need a connection to the internet. Everything is self-contained within the unit.

So it makes us really appealing to your IT department. So we do have our Teaching Without Limits. So we don’t have any monthly subscriptions tied into our software. Once you purchase our software, you own that software. We have unlimited student access, and we also include barcode scanning.

With that barcode scanning, you’re able to create your own barcode labels. We do offer an optional label printer, so if you’d like to print off your own labels for either patients or for medications, you’re able to do that with the SimServeRx software. We also have a few of our features that I’d like to kinda give you an idea about.

We have a feature called SimReset, and behind that you’re able to recreate your patient scenarios over and over again without having to put in multiple patient profiles which cuts down the time on setting up your system for use. We have an integrated eMar, like I mentioned so the idea behind dispensing a medication from your med room or your dispensing cabinet, taking that medication to the bedside, administering it using barcode scanning of your patient’s barcode and the medication.

Our preloaded database already has barcodes from the major manufacturers of simulated medications. They’re already preloaded in the software. You are able to enter in your own barcodes. As I mentioned, you can print off your own labels from our software. And one of the other features that we have built into the software is called SimTime.

So based on the medication orders that you’re putting in the system, for example, if you have a BID order it’s an afternoon class and you’d like your students to pass AM meds, you can tell your system, “It’s the morning. It’s your morning med pass,” and it’ll present everything to the student as if it was the morning.

So it helps to line up everything to look a little more realistic. One of our newest features that we’ve just released with our version 5 software is what we call our SimDeploy and that helps with our scalability of our software solution. With SimDeploy, we’re able to create a source database so that you can put all of your patients into that one source database, and when you have multiple systems, whether it be cabinets or smart carts, you’re able to take those patients and place them in each department or each cart or cabinet that you like and move them around.

It makes for a really easy setup. Like I said we’re trying everything that we can do to keep everything as simple as possible on the sim lab staff, on instructors so that you can focus on teaching and not setting up. Like to go into what our software or what our cabinet offering is in terms of hardware.

I have a few pictures here on the screen of our tabletop modules, our tabletop cabinets we do offer. There’s three different sizes here. They’re stackable. Our cabinets range in from nine drawers all the way up to 27 drawers. They’re stackable, like I mentioned. You can have up to 350 different line items stored in there.

Tabletops are, they do include an integrated PC with a touchscreen. Everything is touchscreen driven, including our smart carts here, and I’ll tell you that, about that in a minute. Everything has a keyboard, a mouse, and of course, a barcode scanner is included with every system as well. That label printer I mentioned earlier, that is the one and only option that we have.

Our floor standing cabinets, a main difference between this and our tabletops is just capacity. So in terms of capacity here, we have a two-module cabinet, a three-module cabinet, and then our supply cabinet. The two-module cabinet and three-module cabinet have drawer configurations that can range from, oh, I think it’s about what is it?

Seventy-two all the way up to three hundred and eighty line items. And that includes a configuration where you can have a glass door with shelves for some small storage, a small supply storage. All of these cabinets are daisy chain-able, so you have the flexibility of expanding your system.

You don’t have to expand it straight away. You can start with a small system and expand along the line, down the line. Onto our smart carts. I have a smart cart next to me right here. This one was actually taken from the booth at, over at Ancor Simulation. So if you wanna have a look over at one of our carts there, we also have our cart in booth twelve thirty-six along with one of our tabletop cabinets, and we can answer any questions that you have about our systems there at either one of those booths.

But our, in terms of our smart cart, they are, all of our carts are powered by lithium-ion batteries. They have charge times or I’m sorry, discharge times from four to eight hours. On the smart cart, we have a integrated touchscreen. We have the keyboard, the mouse, the computer as well as, of course, the barcode scanner.

The drawer combinations that we can have on here, the electronic drawers, it would e-either be one module or two modules. On the bottom section, there is a, an unlocked drawer for supply storage. On the pole or the post of the smart cart, you can see there’s a power indicator. That’s visible from pretty much anywhere in the room, letting you know your current s- rate of discharge on there.

So that’s a pretty handy feature. Yeah, and you know what? Going back, we also offer, I didn’t mention this workstation-on-wheels carts. So whether it’s a powered cart for you to put your own PC and screen on, or if it’s a a laptop cart that you’re looking for, we also offer options for non-powered and powered carts.

I do have just a quick little video demo, and I hope it comes through. I didn’t mention that to the guys, but I just want to take you through just what it might look like to dispense a medication within the software, and then just administer at the bedside. And it’s already taken off on me.

But what’s happened is we’ve logged in, and we’ve presented a patient profile, and now we’re in the middle of opening up some drawers. I’ll let it loop here so that we can go right back into it. I think it just finished opening and closing a drawer. Yep. All right. So now we’re looking at a patient list and it’s logging itself out.

So let’s start over.

Here we go. So once you’re logged in we click on our Remove Medication button, which presents you with a list of patients. Selecting a patient can be done by just touching the patient name or barcode scanning, which presents that patient’s profile, which is what we’re looking at now. You just select or pre-select those medications that you want to dispense and then it pops open the drawer as soon as you hit the Continue button.

It’s gonna give you the medication, the dose that’s required, as well as any instructions for that. Once you retrieve that and barcode scan it you can either hit the Confirm button or if you hit the barcode, it’s on the medication, it’s gonna allow you to close the drawer and continue on to the next one.

That brief demo was just for one medication. If you got– If you’d like a further demonstration, we can show you what it looks like to administer sorry, dispense a controlled drug a drug with a range dose anything like that, something more complicated, maybe even an IV medication. I have here just a brief little demo of what it looks like to administer a medication now.

We’re already logged in. Again, we’re gonna be presented with a list of patients, and this is another barcode scanning opportunity. This is what the patient MAR looks like. Everything is preselected. You’re gonna be selecting the time that the medication is due. We also offer this as a vital sign order that can be selected to be performed and completed within the e-MAR.

Once you have everything preselected, there’s an Administer button that’s being clicked there, and it’ll give you a card for each one of those items that you’re going to be documenting as complete, whether it’s a medication or whether it’s a vital sign order. If there were medications chosen, the drawer would pop open where those medications are, revealing those meds, and that’s where you can barcode scan those medications to confirm you’ve got the right one.

The part that we didn’t show in this is the pre-work that goes into loading a drawer on the SmartCart for a patient. We have a cart fill process where an instructor or a sim coordinator can assign a drawer in the SmartCart to a patient and preload the medications for that patient for the day, for the week.

And then students would then be able to log in and dispense or administer those medications there at the bedside.

So they’ve completed administering those medications and completed that vital sign order. Once that’s done, they can close the drawer, and then they can log themselves out with the key in the upper right-hand corner.

So that concludes our brief demonstration and explanation of the SimServeRx system. I appreciate you guys coming out. Yes. Just a few quick ones. Is there a limit to the amount of students you can load? No, there’s not. So we preload the database for you when we implement the system. So we preload it with m- medication formulary, with patients, with medication orders. We have 10 preloaded patients in there for you.

And as far as users are concerned, or students we preload that with three generic users. But you are able to change anything and everything. So if you wanna put every student in there with their own account, you certainly can. Awesome. Do I have to load the same patient multiple times? No. That’s a great question.

So I know in other systems that you have to if you want to use the same patient or same profile more than once. With ours, we, with the sim reset function, you’re able to reset that patient profile so another student can log in right away and have the same experience of passing the same medications over and over again.

Yes. So with our version five, we do have an automatic setting. All right. Thank you for the question Can you repeat that for the recording? Oh can you set it to automatically do that? Yes. Yes. So with our previous version, we had a manual way to reset the patient profile and now with our version five, we do have the ability to make that automatic on logout.

Yes. Thank you. And then how realistic is SimServeRx compared to using a system in a hospital setting? Yes. So SimServeRx was born as ServeRx in the real world, so it’s been in development … It started in 2005. And it’s been in as many as 130 different hospitals across the US in critical access and rural health.

So it’s got a pretty broad base to start with. But again, we tailored it back in 2017 for simulation. We’re constantly developing it, adding new features, enhancing features … And we don’t plan on stopping. Yeah. One more quest- Yes?

From a tech standpoint, are we able to build in a par? ‘Cause we run a lot of sims on our campus. It would be nice if it would automatically tell us, “Oh, you’re getting short on this.” Oh. Is that an option? Yes, it is. So from the inventory control standpoint, when you’re assigning medications to the drawers, and it makes it even easier with version five, you’re able to set up a refill level for each one of those medications.

Yes, you have a stock status screen that will give you, in red text, everything that’s below your refill level, so it should show you pretty quick, pretty easy. Yeah. Thanks for the question.

Oh, yes, I’m being told by my marketing director that I do need to mention our control center. When you have multiple systems, it allows you to administer each one of those systems from our control center, which is just basically an … Our … Taking the database off of the local machine and putting it onto a separate machine so that you can see that from your desktop computer, from any computer on your network, basically.

So there’s an option to do that, rather than having to do everything there at the smart cart or at the cabinet. Yeah. Yeah, thank you. I appreciate everyone’s time.
